MS was my nightmare and it was always an ELA teacher implying that my son might need a visit to the pediatrician for a possible "medical condition". I would always check with the other teachers to see if they were having the same kind of problems and the answers were always "no". The Common Bore (started in MD when he was in 4th grade) was the only changing factor in the whole mess....so not my kid's problem. He now goes to private HS and ELA is his favorite subject due to his "rock star" teacher and an age appropriate curriculum. No ADD/ADHD....just bad common core and stupid standardized testing.edblisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01792046029260177146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6534665086749553287.post-14961686463469471742019-04-19T19:13:09.783-04:002019-04-19T19:13:09.783-04:00Changing the cut-off date wouldn't do a darn t...Changing the cut-off date wouldn't do a darn thing besides shift the bell curve. So instead of August babies being the immature ones, now it would be the July or June babies who are immature. You get rid of the least mature of the batch, there's still going to be kids less mature than their peers, so the standard for what "maturity" is for that grade just shifts.Diennehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04570040547158789834noreply@blogger.com
