Hundreds of billions of teacher/student/parent hours. PD session up the ying-yang.
A nearly exclusive obsession with data collection/student outcomes (i.e. test scores). Countless misrepresentation, falsehoods, and unsubstantiated claims (college and career ready anyone?) And they still don’t know if they can measure the impact. What a bunch of losers. They’re not even smarter than a third grader when it comes to understanding the dynamics of the classroom and the mind set of children in schools.
NY Teacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08292448959963091160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6534665086749553287.post-44895751196184317752017-09-20T18:05:40.051-04:002017-09-20T18:05:40.051-04:00The most devastating impact of the common core sta...The most devastating impact of the common core standards, companion tests, and attached threats to individual teachers and schools was the degree to which the null curriculum expanded. This was an astonishing accomplishment that has disabled a generation of student and has mis-branded the majority as “failures” using bogus test scores designed to produce hyper-failure rates. Child abuse comes in many forms; those who created the test-and-punish atmosphere in America’s schools should be jailed!NY Teacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08292448959963091160noreply@blogger.com
