Being familiar with the issues, I was excited that they were getting a mainstream venue, and of course, Scott was like a family member who'd frequented my kitchen for years, one I could expect to give a well rounded piece. Then he asked his interviewee, " But teaching is not like a real job is it?" ( which was one of the reformsters talking points at the time). It was all over for me, they lost a dedicated listener and member. Listen to their promoters, 'The Waltons, promoting school choice', 'Bill and Melinda Gates foundation'.
