(I spend a good deal on my classroom, but nowhere near the $80k range).<br /><br />Probably this is a case of turf protection. I've heard so many stories (and experienced a number of them myself) about school IT folks who hold back teachers from doing things they either don't understand or are afraid they will have to fix.
